Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is convinced his squad are behind him since he has been invited into a group dinner by one of his players.
Pochettinos position is under scrutiny after a series of three wins out of 11 matches in all competitions so far this season.
On the other hand, the Argentine claims his invitation to dinner through text message demonstrates the team are combined.
They are not about to say goodbye to me. To say goodbye, say goodbye here – not inviting me to supper, he explained.
Speaking at a news conference before Saturdays Premier League match at home to Watford, Pochettino said:Once you are given a text from the player inviting you along with the training staff for a dinner just two things can happen.
[Its] because they want to say goodbye. Or since they believe they love you and they would like to show that they are with you. And I think its the second.
Spurs lost 3-0 in Brighton in their final Premier League match before the international break, just four days after a 7-2 thrashing by Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Earlier this season, the north London club were defeated on penalties by League Two Colchester in the Carabao Cup.
That run of results led to speculation Pochettino could use things to try and turn round.
Pochettino says January will be too late to try a shift in shape anyway, also has ignored this suggestion, however.
I never was keen on January and I will not change now since it is an arduous period or tough couple of games, I am not going to change the way I think or see things, he added.
We are not likely to drive anything since we think the squad is a decent squad. We need to be powerful since were suffering a storm, our choice was correct we cannot now change fast.

My view, the way I love to work, is that if you take decisions on the summertime and you need to be responsible and you will need to discover the best way to create that function.
Today isnt a point to speak around January, refreshing the group. Because we need to win 13, now is about attempting to find solutions and we have to win after tomorrow.
