The MLB is reaching an exciting stretch because we are currently entering the parts of the entire year. With fifteen games up on the plank at Saturday night, I anticipate another exciting day of baseball. Among the exciting games in the plank will be involving the Miami Marlin and the Kansas City Royals. Both groups have been eliminated from postseason contention, but are trying to finish the year strong. This game will start at 6:10 PM Eastern time.
Kansas City has made a list of 52-90 over the summer, which includes them sitting in position of the AL Central. The Royals are before the Detroit Tigers, but also have had a disappointing year. As they try to put up a commendable end to the 35, kansas City has had a great stretch and will look to keep up that streak.
50-90 has been gone by the Marlins this year so far, which has them in place of the NL East and the National League. Miami has put up a record up in their last four games. After losing the first match of the show on Friday night, the Marlins will try to bounce back with a win in the second game on Saturday night.
These two teams have had a good run within their past couple games also will look to attempt to keep it up as they finish out this year. Neither team has had a good season, but both groups will look to find the better of every other in this set. I feel that the series’ second match should be another one after Friday night’s lean.
Earlier this series, the Marlins managed to create a fight against the Pittsburgh Pirates that are struggling. Miami won 2 of their three road games for example a 1 run win at the tenth inning of the game, against the Pirates. Kansas City was able to win two games against the Baltimore Orioles and the Detroit Tigers in back to the three match series before this set.
The very first game of this series was on Friday night. The Royals took the lead with an RBI single in the inning. Kansas City added a run in the seventh inning and Hunter Dozier iced the game with a homer in the eighth inning. Jorge Lopez got the win as he pitched six innings and allowed four hits as the Royals pulled off with a 3-0 win on the street.
This 3 game set between Miami and Kansas City will be the very first one since 2016 and the only one that collection. Both of these teams have been performing well for the seasons they have been having coming into this set. The game was a battle and that I expect another good matchup between both of these clubs on Saturday night.
Whit Merrifield has had a strong season for Kansas City so far. He has put up 183 hits, 16 home runs and 72 RBI’s. Alex Gordan has put up 12 homers 132 hits and 67 RBI’s. While Hunter Dozier has 129 strikes, 25 homers and 78 RBI’s 191 hits have been set up by jorge Soler, 40 home runs and 101 RBI’s. Ryan O’Hearn also has double digit home runs on the season.
Starlin Castro has got this season to 150 hits, 17 home runs and 74 RBI’s for the Marlins. Miguel Rojas includes 111 hits, but just 5 home runs on the year. Jorge Alfaro has put up 14 home runs, 101 hits and 46 RBI’s. Garrett Cooper has 14 homers, 98 strikes and 49 RBI’s on the season. Harold Ramirez and Curtis Granderson have dual digit homers this year.
Both of these teams boast a few strong hitters in their lineup this season. The Royals are a little stronger however I believe that the Marlins have a line that is deeper. Miami couldn’t get anything so I expect them to make any adjustments on Saturday to attempt to get some runs on the board .
Danny Duffy will start on the mound for Kansas City on Saturday. Duffy has published a record of 5-6 during 19 starts this season. He has an ERA of 4.89 plus a WHIP of both 1.397 in these starts. Duffy’s last start came from the Baltimore Orioles, where he allowed three earned runs and seven hits during six and a third innings pitched for a no decision.
Caleb Smith is going to have the start for the Marlins at Saturday’s matchup. Smith has an 8-9 record through 23 starts this season. He’s a 4.30 ERA and a 1.136 WHIP. Smith’s last start was from Washington Nationals on September 1. He allowed seven hits and six earned runs and a third innings pitched since he took his ninth loss of the season.
These two pitchers have had strong seasons for their own clubs. Smith has put up better stats, but he is coming off a tough loss in his matchup. Duffy was not good in his final start, but didn’t let as many runs. I feel that Smith can come out quick to attempt to bounce back after his loss in the last game. I think that the Marlins can pull off a win on Saturday if Smith has a fantastic start.
These two teams haven’t had good seasons, but I think Saturday night’s game will be shut. The Marlins got closed out on Friday night, even though earning seven hits. I feel that Miami will rebound with a huge win however on Saturday. The Marlins have the starting pitcher to the mound and have depth in their lineup that is hitting.
BetOnline has Miami recorded as a -112 from the money line on Saturday night. This also gives a Small edge. I feel that this line is strong as Miami is looking to bounce back at home after a loss. Both teams are doing well over their past couple of matches, but I enjoy the Marlins to choose the next game of this show to tie up this.
