The Oakland Athletics along with Houston Astros step Upward on the field for a preview of a series in the American League.

Since their postseason prospects are up in the air, oakland would love for it to occur. A clash with the Astros from the postseason would mean that they did pretty good from now until October.
If they need to be playing postseason baseball the Athletics need wins down the stretch. That’s a foregone conclusion for the Astros. We only need to find out. Oakland hold an advantage. There is also the chase for homefield advantage in the Wild Card Game. The Rays are a match up on the A’s for homefield. So, is a great deal going on here that Oakland are playing for. The only real promise is that they won’t catch the Astros. The’Stros grip a sizable lead on the Athletics for 1st in the branch. That’s not likely to be in question. The Astros will probably be going into the postseason among the most well-rounded teams and have been in a position. I’d have to say they are the most famous team. You can make the argument that it is the Dodgers, but that I shall choose the clutchness of Justin Verlander over Clayton Kershaw any day in October.

It was not a pretty scene for Wade Miley in his latest showing. 2019 was a wonderful season for Miley. He signed using a competition and is having one of the greatest seasons of his career. Miley will also have an opportunity. Miley did not look as if he was ready for October against the Mariners that are humble. He was rocked for 5 hits and 5 earned runs without any recording 1 out.
The Astros stormed all the way back. A dreadful group like the Mariners make it easy to complete comebacks like that. But against the boys, the Astros aren’t likely to get exactly the identical outcome. Note that it was the very first game since June 22nd that Miley allowed over 3 runs in a match. He went 12 looks with less than 4 runs permitted.
