For biting, newport County defender Ryan Inniss has been given a five-match ban by the FA.
Inniss was sent off County lost 5-4 to West Ham U21s on Wednesday, September 4 and was billed within an EFL Trophy sport which.
The 6ft, online from Crystal Palace, was dismissed late to the episode which involved Hammers left-back Reece Hannam.
An FA statement read:”Ryan Inniss has announced that a violation and been suspended due to his next five first-team competitive matches by an independent Regulatory Commission.
“The normal three-match ban which would ordinarily use was clearly inadequate.”
Speaking immediately after the game, County manager Michael Flynn confessed he could not defend the loanee.
He explained:”Their participant said he got bitten, so I’ll have a look at this and learn what happened.
“When he’s bitten himit’s inexcusable and I will not be fighting his corner.”
The 24-year-old, who has captained the reserve side of Palace and is presently away from Selhurst Park, will miss the games against Northampton, Macclesfield, Exeter, Swindon and Carlisle of Newport.
